What is EconomyBookings?
EconomyBookings is a trademark of Booking Group Corporation Ltd, a company registered in Latvia.[1] Its terms, effective 21 July 2026, describe it as an intermediary: it does not own or operate car hire companies, and your rental contract is concluded directly with the supplier.[1]
The most distinctive part of its current terms is the E-Wallet. Refunds for eligible cancellations go into the E-Wallet as BookingCredit by default; you can withdraw them to the original payment method free of charge, but only within six months of the cancellation.[1]

Editorial assessment
What we would tell a friend
- The six-month withdrawal window is the clause to diarise: after it passes, cancelled-booking money can only be used as BookingCredit, which itself expires after a year.
- If you accept a bonus for keeping refunded money in the E-Wallet, the terms say that money is no longer withdrawable (6.5).
This is an editorial assessment of documented terms, not a rating. We do not score companies.
What we could not verify
- Supplier numbers, turnover and customer counts are company statements.
